Making a Difference
“A Just World is making a difference for children and their families throughout the Central Coast. Thanks to donations provided by the community, children who struggle with eating challenges have received much needed help. Because of generous donations, pediatric clients and their families who would not have otherwise afforded the high cost of evaluation and individual treatment have gained access to occupational therapy specializing in feeding and eating challenges. What we have achieved so far:
Donations have been made directly to the following facilities, programs, or providers and were used 100% for clients in need:
Balance Treatment Center in San Luis Obispo. This is a PHP and IOP program for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health challenges.
The Yellow House Project, a Group Nutrition Practice and Recovery Community in Morro Bay. This Business primarily focuses on helping those struggling with eating disorders and 2/3 of the patients are MediCal holders. The donation went directly to three separate clients in need.
Psychologist Dr. Henry Ahlstrom, who, specializes in the treatment of trauma.
